Abstract
Drawing upon quantitative data and narrative responses from questionnaires sent to all women Law Deans of Color, this chapter examines common threads and unique fibers in the experiences of female Law Deans of Color, many revolving around presumptions of incompetence and sidelining. It closes with ways to reduce presumptions of incompetence and gender sidelining, and to expand the growing club of women Law Deans of Color.
